THE STORY

My family settled in the Santa Maria Valley nine generations ago. The land that Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard looks over is a parcel of the original Mexican land grant owned by my great-great-great-great-great grandfather. Despite our long lineage in this valley, I didn't inherit this land; my family and I worked hard to regain a modest piece of land, primarily used as a cattle ranch and the eight acres my vineyard sits on. The cattle ranch was my parents' dream - mine was the vineyard and Native
9 wines. I've been fortunate that I can include the history of my family, a longtime dream, and a close friend into my livelihood. I'm proud of what we've been able to make over these many years and am excited to be a part of the next chapter of our history.
